The Risk Management Plan sets out a framework for managing the risks of your organisation's operations, so employees, contractors and inspectors can all see how risks are identified, assessed and controlled.

It sets out a risk management policy, the responsibilities of the organisation, supervisors and workers, and a four-stage process to identify hazards, evaluate the risks, control them by the hierarchy of controls, and monitor and review them.

It includes a risk assessment matrix with likelihood and consequence ratings and the action each risk score calls for, a Risk Assessment Form and a Risk Register to log identified risks and their management.

It suits business leaders, safety officers and compliance managers who want a structured, regularly reviewed approach to risk across their operations.

Introduction

The purpose of this document is to provide a management framework for managing the risks associated with the operations of Company.

This document achieves this by defining:

  • the process taken to identify, analyse and evaluate hazards and the risks they present;

  • how risk mitigation strategies will be developed and deployed to reduce the likelihood and/or impact of risks;

  • how often hazards and risks will be reviewed, the process for review and who will be involved;

  • roles and responsibilities for risk management;

  • how risk status, and changes to risk status, will be reported;

  • a Risk Register containing all identified hazards and risks, their current gradings and the risk mitigation strategies identified to reduce the likelihood and seriousness of each hazard.

This Risk Management Plan will be available for inspection by all relevant persons, including visitors, direct relevant workers, contractors, relevant workers of contractors and government appointed inspectors. The plan will be monitored and updated as required, and the most current copy kept on site.

Where required, the process of risk identification, assessment and the development of control measures will involve consultation with management representatives, OHS representatives, other relevant stakeholders and workers.
