Standard/Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) are written, step-by-step instructions that describe how to perform an activity. This template will allow you to develop your procedures specific to your business tasks.
Set out in an easy-to-use format, it provides plenty of room so there is sufficient detail to enable a trained person to perform the procedure unsupervised.
It sets out the purpose, scope and definitions, who is responsible for each task, the equipment and personal protective equipment needed, the procedure's steps, the forms or permits required, and the change history.
It is part of the Health and Safety Manual, whose documents refer to each other.
